Fr Glenn Sudano is currently the novice director for the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. The Franciscan Friars of the renewal take seriously the life as religious following in the steps of Saint Francis of Assissi. Fr Glenn Sudano has led many retreats for priests, religious, and laity. He will be joining us for the conference in 2012.
His speaking topics will be:
1.) The Sacraments-Instituted by Christ to give us Grace.
2.) Why men need prayer and adoration?
Father Alex Kratz, O.F.M., is a Franciscan priest stationed in Detroit. Fr. Alex experienced a year in the Holy Land living in a Palestinian Catholic parish in the West Bank. He studied at a local university with a desire to support the Mother Church of Jerusalem. In 2008 he co-founded Terra Sancta Pilgrimages, a Franciscan ministry of pilgrimage and evangelization, to build up the Church both in the Holy Land and in the United States. Fr. Alex has led almost 500 pilgrims to the Holy Land and has created projects to help safeguard a Christian presence there. Currently father conducts parish missions, retreats, Bible studies, classes and spiritual direction. He also leads an active healing ministry. Fr. Alex enjoys reading history, World Cup soccer, and watching Notre Dame football.
His speaking topics will be:
1.) The Holy Land-Men of God on a pilgrimage
2.) Homily with reflections on Saint Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mother.
Deacon Omar Torres, is a permanent deacon, ordained in 2000 and currently serving at St Mary’s Parish. He has been married for 26 years, and a father of 3 girls. Deacon Torres has served the Church in all liturgical prayer, prison ministry and instruction for marriage preparation and annulments.

Although Pendleton, Oregon is famous for its annual cowboy assembly each fall at the Pendleton Roundup, a different men’s gathering will take place in 2012. The Northwest Catholic Men’s Conference on February 24th and 25th will inspire men to come to holiness and seek the Truth. The conference, being held at the Pendleton Convention Center, kicks off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday February 24th with Mass. Check in will begin on Friday at 4:30pm.
Speakers and multi-media presentations throughout the two days will help men develop a deeper relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ, and also with their family and friends, and all of God’s people. Men will be instructed on God’s Mercy, the sacraments, prayer, saints and angels and their fight against evil. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and a special Live Stations of the Cross will be presented. Breakout sessions will promote discussion of issues relevant to Catholics and other Christian men.
The conference will conclude Saturday afternoon around 5:00pm.
Fathers, we encourage you to bring your son(s) but ask that they meet a minimum age of 15 years old. Thank you!
