Day in the Desert
Late September every year the "Day in the Desert" retreat occurs. This is a great time to flee to the outdoors in order to get away from the busy everyday life and seek God in a peaceful, reflective way. The day begins with a drive from St.Mary's Parish at 6am to our destination, which for the past few years has been the Doherty Ranch in the Blue Mountains. It is a time for fraternity with other men.

Mass
Mass is always celebrated by Father Bailey Clemens. There is usually another Priests that comes to concelebrate Mass with Father as well as Deacon Omar Torres. -
Talks
Talks given by Father Clemens help to inspire and move us closer in our relationship with Christ. These talks vary in content but center on true manhood and how it can be regained in todays society. -
Adoration
Adoring the Holy Eucharist is a key aspect of the trip and in coming closer to Christ in our daily lives. This is a great time for prayer, contemplation and quiet reflection. -
Reconcilliation
Reconcilliation is another key aspect of coming closer to Christ. We must be in the state of grace so that we may receive the full benefits of Gods love. -
Hiking
The location of the retreat requires a bit of hiking to get to. It's a great time to get some excercise, talk with others and enjoy the surrounding mountains. -
Fraternity
In todays hussel and bussel it is hard to find and build good relationships with other men. This retreat can help give you hope that other men are searching for true masculinity and the love of God as you are. This can be an uplifting time to know your not the only one, there are others like you! -
Food
Pat Doherty, Chris Moore and TK Kennedy usually fix up some great stew and dutch oven cornbread for lunch. This has become a staple of the trip. Donuts and coffee are provided in the morning as well.
